4.5-magnitude quake hits 14 miles west of Kengtung, Shan State.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 hit 14 miles west of Kengtung District, Shan State according to Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) on October 7.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 21.27 degrees north latitude and 99.37 degrees east longitude around 10:00 am on October 7, according to the statement issued by the DMH.

On September 30, a moderate earthquake jolted centering Minkin and Homalin, it said.

On September 25, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 hit Thandwe. On September 23, a moderate earthquake hit Mawleik, on
September 15, at 4:30 am, a moderate earthquake hit near Minkin, and on September 14 at 6:00 pm, another earthquake hit Yetashe.

Another earthquake hit Homalin around 5:00 am on September 8, and another quake centering Tunzan hit at 2:00 am on September 2 and two moderate earthquakes hit near Mawleik on August 25 and 13.

From July 1 to 8, 11 earthquakes hit entire Myanmar including Yangon Region. An earthquake centering one mile of north-east of Hling Township, Yangon Region at 7:30 am on July 5 and DMH reported that tremors were felt in North Dagaon, North Okkalapa, and Sanggyaung Townships.
